The Barn Theatre is holding open auditions for our upcoming special event, fundraising production of Jonathan Larson’s Tick, Tick… Boom! (with Live Band) This powerful rock musical follows Jon, a struggling composer on the brink of turning 30, as he questions love, career, and the pursuit of dreams in New York City.

We are seeking three dynamic performers with strong vocal ability, acting range, and comfort in contemporary pop/rock styles.
Character Breakdown

Jon (Male, 20s–30s, Tenor): An aspiring composer navigating self-doubt, relationships, and his passion for music. Charismatic, vulnerable, and witty.

Susan (Female, 20s–30s, Mezzo-Soprano): Jon’s girlfriend, a dancer/teacher yearning for stability and a life beyond New York. Warm, supportive, yet conflicted.

Michael (Male, 20s–30s, Baritone/Tenor): Jon’s best friend, a former actor turned successful marketing executive. Confident, grounded, and complex.
Auditioners must be 18 years or older.
Audition Form must be completed prior to audition date.
