Synopsis:

In this beloved 1983 Broadway hit which won the Tony Award for Best Musical, the sparkling “Cagelles” (men in drag) perform lively musical numbers to Jerry Herman’s Tony-winning score with a book by Harvey Fierstein that’s as hilarious as ever. But the heart of the show is its touching portrayal of Georges and Albin’s enduring love for each other and the family they have created. The story was later adapted into the film The Birdcage starring Robin Williams. The music and lyrics are by the composer of Hello, Dolly! and Mame and as the song says, “The Best of Times” is always now to see La Cage aux Folles.
