Upon submitting your audition form, you can select a time slot for auditions

 

Video Submissions are accepted no later than 24 hours before the listed audition date

What To Prepare:
Please arrive to auditions 15 minutes prior to your audition time slot.

Be prepared with 32 bars of any musical theatre song that best fits and showcases your range.


We ask that you do not audition acapella.

A Bluetooth speaker is provided for accompanying tracks.

Please do not sing a song from the show.

 

Dress comfortably for the dance portion of auditions.

For example:

No flip-flops or other shoes that will impede your ability to dance safely.

No overly restrictive or revealing clothing.

Vocal auditions are private infant of only the production team.

Dance auditions will be completed in small groups based on registered time slots.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid is the beloved Broadway musical based on the classic animated film and the enchanting story by Hans Christian Andersen. Beneath the sea, adventurous young mermaid Ariel dreams of leaving her ocean home behind to explore the human world. When she makes a dangerous bargain with the sea witch Ursula, Ariel embarks on a magical journey filled with friendship, adventure, and self-discovery. Featuring unforgettable songs, colorful characters, and spectacular storytelling, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is a family favorite that brings the magic of the ocean to life on stage.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

 

 

Ariel (Female Presenting) | Vocal Range: G3–Gb5
A curious, adventurous young mermaid who dreams of exploring the human world. Determined, spirited, and compassionate, Ariel follows her heart despite the risks.

 

Prince Eric (Male Presenting) | Vocal Range: B2–G4
A young prince fascinated by the sea and eager to find a greater purpose in life. Charming, adventurous, and kind-hearted.

 

Sebastian (Male Presenting) | Vocal Range: G2–C5
King Triton's loyal court composer and chief advisor. Practical, organized, and often exasperated by Ariel's antics, but deeply caring beneath his stern exterior.

 

Flounder (Male Presenting) | Vocal Range: A2–G4
Ariel's best friend. Sweet, loyal, and often nervous, Flounder is always willing to accompany Ariel on her adventures.

 

Scuttle (Male or Female Presenting) | Vocal Range: C3–G4
An eccentric seagull and self-proclaimed expert on human artifacts. Energetic, lovable, and delightfully clueless.

 

King Triton (Male Presenting) | Vocal Range: Ab2–F4
The powerful ruler of the sea and Ariel's protective father. Strong, commanding, and deeply devoted to his family.

 

Ursula (Female Presenting) | Vocal Range: Eb3–C5
The cunning sea witch who manipulates Ariel into making a dangerous bargain. Charismatic, theatrical, and larger than life.

 

Flotsam (Male or Female Presenting) | Vocal Range: Ensemble/Featured Role
One of Ursula's slippery eel henchmen. Mischievous, sneaky, and devoted to helping Ursula carry out her schemes.

 

Jetsam (Male or Female Presenting) | Vocal Range: Ensemble/Featured Role
Ursula's other eel henchman. Equally devious and always eager to assist in Ursula's plans.

 

Chef Louis (Male Presenting) | Vocal Range: Bb2–A4
The palace chef. Passionate, dramatic, and obsessed with cooking seafood, often creating chaos wherever he goes.

 

Grimsby (Male Presenting) | Vocal Range: C3–C4
Prince Eric's trusted guardian and advisor. Proper, loyal, and eager to see Eric find happiness.

 

Carlotta (Female Presenting) | Vocal Range: E4–G5
The headmistress of Prince Eric's household. Warm, nurturing, and supportive of Ariel.

 

Pilot (Male Presenting) | Vocal Range: Spoken/Character Role
Captain of Prince Eric's ship. Experienced, practical, and respected by the crew.

 

Mersisters: Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Atina, Adella & Alana (Female Presenting) | Vocal Range: Ensemble Soprano/Alto
Ariel's older sisters. Each possesses a distinct personality and helps bring the vibrant underwater kingdom to life through featured singing and ensemble moments.

 

Ensemble (All Gender Presentations) | Vocal Range: Various
Includes merfolk, sailors, maids, chefs, gulls, sea creatures, lagoon animals, princesses, and featured characters from both the underwater and human worlds. Strong singers, dancers, movers, puppeteers, and character actors are encouraged to audition.

 

Featured roles may include Seahorse, Sea Creatures, Tentacles, Gulls, Sailors, Maids, Chefs, Lagoon Animals, and additional members of both the underwater and human worlds.
