John Foland and Tara Weidenfeller will be directing four one-act plays opening April 27th thru April 29th. The devastating wit of playwrights Dorothy Parker, Christopher Durang and Robert Anderson are all desplayed in the four comedies:
"Wanda's Visit" - features an aggressive, talkative, insensitive woman who creates humor in her refusing to face reality when she invades the home of an old high school friend.
"DMV Tyrant" - is the frustrations and sufferance of a man dealing with the inefficiency of a government clerk.
"Here We Are" - is, perhaps, Dorothy Parker's sharpest wit as she brings to life a young married couple as they leave for their honeymoon.
"I'm Herbert" - is the delightful remembrances of an elderly couple who are at opposite ends in detailing their memories. |
