The Barn Theatre

Martin County's Oldest Community Theatre

Audition dates for “Beyond Therapy” by Christopher Durang; Black Box Feb 19 and 20th at 7pm.

Show dates March 30, 31 and April 1.

Premise of show: There will be two directors  ( different genders, experience and view points) directing the same act of the play with two different casts,( 4 actors; age range 30’s to 60’s.). Possibly different stage crews. Both ensembles can not discuss their particular production with the other. Show will include a talk back with audience, actors and directors with regard to the experience .This is not a competition, but a unique opportunity for Barn audiences to see a play from the perspective of different directors and actors. A challenge for both.  Come  to the Barn and share  in the experience. Dante Marelli, Theatrical Vice President.

Attention:  All actors & actresses

Auditions will be held February 26, 27 and 28 at 7pm for Catch Me If You Can, by Robert Thomas, adapted from the French Version by Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert; produced by special arrangement with Samuel French. This is not to be confused with the movie of the same name or the high-flying new musical comedy on Broadway based on the hit DreamWorks film based on a true story.

This play is a gleeful murder mystery that takes place during a newly married couple's honeymoon at a summer cottage in the Catskill Mountains, New York. Overflowing with mirth, this Broadway whodunit is exciting from beginning to end. The whodunit tells the tangled tale of an anxiety ridden agitated husband, a missing bride, a distracted, humorous inept detective, a mysterious woman who insists she is the bride, a priest who backs up her story and an elderly deli owner. The action will get many laughs and the twist ending will surely surprise the audience.

"The final 15 minutes will reward you as a murder mystery should."-N.Y. Times.

"As a cheerful game of homicide and red herrings. I thought it was fun... A resourceful and amusing mystery comedy."-N.Y. Post.

"Ingenious."-N.Y. World Telegram & Sun.
